LONDON - A barman who killed a mother and her five children by setting fire to their flat was given six life sentences at the Old Bailey yesterday. Judy Newell and her children were said to have screamed as the inferno engulfed them in Bermondsey, London. Scott Vowls (24) had not wanted to harm them, the court was told. His target was Ms Newell's brother who had moved out of the flat unknown to him.
