Sinn Fein excluded from £1m distribution

MORE than £1 million in EU funds designated for Fermanagh could be blocked by a row involving Sinn Fein.

MORE than £1 million in EU funds designated for Fermanagh could be blocked by a row involving Sinn Fein.

Fermanagh District Council has nominated eight members to serve on the district partnership board to distribute the money, three UUP members, three Independents, one SDLP and one DUP member, but excluding anyone from Sinn Fein.

A Sinn Fein spokesman, Mr Robin Martin, said a walkout would be considered at Monday's council meeting where the appointments are due to be finalised.
