Houston - The US space shuttle Discovery made contact with the Hubble telescope early today. Minutes before the appointed hour at 6:34 p.m. (0034 GMT), the shuttle gripped the disabled telescope with its robotic arm. "Houston, we have a good capture," said French astronaut JeanFrancois Clervoy. "We have a good grapple."
The Discovery astronauts are on a mission to replace six gyroscopes on the telescope.
