Three people were treated for shock after a gun attack on a house in Ballymena, Co Antrim today.

Three people were treated for shock after a gun attack on a house in Ballymena, Co Antrim today.

Several shots were fired at the rear of a house at Orkney Drive in the Ballykeel estate at around 12.15am, said police.

Local people said they heard four or five shots fired.

A heavy force of police sealed off the estate and, using the searchlight from a helicopter surrounded a house a short distance away. No arrests were made.

A PSNI spokeswoman said a motive for the attack had yet to be established and appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
