Kerry's Bryan Sheehan will miss Sunday week's National Football League final against Derry having sustained a knee ligament injury at the weekend.

Sheehan hobbled off in the latter stages of the Kingdom's win over Galway on Sunday and a scan yesterday revealed a partial tear.

Fortunately for the dead ball specialist, who had contributed eight points by the time he was forced off at Pearse Stadium, the injury does not require an operation and Sheehan should be fit to return in time for the forthcoming All-Ireland championship.

Meanwhile, Dublin have confirmed this weekend's Division Two meeting with Meath will be an all-ticket affair.

Dublin officials, anticipating a capacity 10,000 crowd, announced that clubs will receive priority with no public sale currently planned.
