Sinn Fein has blamed two loyalists from Portadown for an altercation at a Bray, Co Wicklow, hotel on Friday which led to the sudden death of a friend of Garvaghy Road Residents' Coalition spokesman, Mr Brendan Mac Cionnaith.

During the incident at the Esplanade Hotel, Mr Larry O'Neill (49) collapsed and was taken to Loughlinstown Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The results of a post-mortem confirmed he died from a heart attack.

A woman was subsequently arrested for criminal damage and has been charged and released on bail to appear in court at a later date.
