No further evidence was heard yesterday, the second day of the trial of a Kildare primary school vice-principal who is denying 22 charges of sexual assault and assault on former pupils.
Judge Kevin Haugh adjourned the hearing at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court until noon today to give the defence, time to study documents.
The teacher has pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting four boys by touching them and assaulting two others by allegedly kissing and hugging them.
The jury has heard evidence from three of the alleged victims via a video-link system. One of the three witnesses is still under cross-examination. The three boys were all aged about nine when the offences allegedly happened.
Mr Denis Vaughan Buckley SC, prosecuting, in his outline of the case said there would be evidence from another boy that the accused man had called another alleged victim his "little pet" and "little flower".
