A Waterford man has denied sexually assaulting a young girl while she was helping him with his children. The 44-year-old married man pleaded not guilty at a Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to sexually assaulting the girl, aged 13, on July 26th, 1993.

The court heard that the girl had gone to the defendant's house on July 25th to "help out" with his two children. The incident is alleged to have happened when the man's wife was out.
