Talks aimed at resolving the dispute that threatens the future of Tara Mines were continuing at the Labour Relations Commission late last night. The talks, which began at 2.30 p.m., are exploring the reasons why miners voted by two-to-one to reject restructuring proposals already accepted by the rest of the workforce.
Management has said that it will introduce more draconian measures from February 1st to improve productivity if the miners continue their opposition.
