The services sector grew by its fasted rate in four months in November as the economy accelerated, according to figures released this morning.
The NCB Purchasing Managers' Services Index for November was 62.1 compared with 61.4 in the previous month. Any score above 50 indicates growth. The services sector has been growing for the last two and a half years.
Commenting on the report Dermot O'Brien, NCB economist, said confidence levels were high and new business growth buoyant.
Companies were reporting high levels of new business and are employing additional staff to meet demand, the report indicated.

However, it also noted that service providers face higher costs due to wage increases and rising energy costs.
