A man was in hospital today after being attacked outside a nightclub in Cookstown, Co Tyrone this morning.
The man (21), was set upon by another man close to a nightclub in Molesworth Street at about 2am. He was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland said there was a large group of people in the area at the time of the assault and they have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
Officers particularly want to speak with the person who telephoned for an ambulance.
