Soccer: Italy's top-flight players announced today they will go on strike following a breakdown in negotiations between the Lega Calcio and the players´ union on a new collective bargaining agreement.
The Associazione Calciatore Italiana (Aic) will announce the date of strike action on November 30th.
The Serie A players had threatened to strike back in September in the hope of renewing the collective bargaining agreement that had expired back in June. The strike was called off after the Italian Football Federation acted as mediators.
