Peter Senior shot a seven-under-par 65 to extend his lead to five strokes after the second round of the Australian PGA championship today.

Senior (44) had shared a one-stroke first round lead with Steve Collins on eight-under-par 64 and added another eight birdies and one bogey today.

He carded a 36-hole total of 15-under-par 129 to hold a five-shot advantage over fellow Australian Rod Pampling who had a 69 to be outright second on 10-under-par 134.

Craig Parry with a 68, Nick O'Hern who also had a 68 and Peter O'Malley who shot a 67 are a further shot behind on nine-under-par 135 with New Zealander Gareth Paddison sixth on eight-under-par 136 after carding a 65.

Collins had a 73 today to slip to equal seventh on seven-under-par 137 with Australian Masters runner-up Adam Scott, who had a 69, and Australian Open champion Stephen Allan, who fired a 67.
