Security precautions are being put in place to prevent Traveller families regaining access to the main car-parks at Knock Shrine, Co Mayo, for the duration of the annual nine-day novena which starts this afternoon. Twenty families who had occupied the west car-park close to the basilica moved out last week when threatened with legal proceedings by Mayo County Council.
