Second North drugs find brings value to £2.5m

A further stg£500,000 haul of cannabis was today found in a truck impounded by police in Northern Ireland yesterday.

A further stg£500,000 haul of cannabis was today found in a truck impounded by police in Northern Ireland yesterday.

A more detailed search of the vehicle today revealed a further 120kg consignment separate from the £2 million haul recovered yesterday. Yesterday's find was the largest in Northern Irish history.

Police today said linked the find to loyalist paramilitaries and claimed they had smashed the gang behind the drugs ring.

Three men are being held in connection with the find.
