Search launched as man falls into River Liffey

A rescue helicopter is assisting in a search for a man in the River Liffey in Dublin city centre tonight.

A rescue helicopter is assisting in a search for a man in the River Liffey in Dublin city centre tonight.

The man, believed to be aged between 50 and 60, is reported to have fallen into the river on Sir John Rogerson's Quay at 7.30.

A Garda spokesman said Dublin Fire Brigade and gardaí were also at the scene. The search has so far failed to locate the man.
