London - Detectives hunting the killer of Sarah Payne (8) are to step up their search for more evidence this week after fragments of what could be her dress were discovered in a hedgerow.

A shoe very similar to that worn by the girl was also found about a mile from where her body was found in West Sussex.

The girl was abducted on July 1st near her grandparents' home in Kingston Gorse, west Sussex. Her body was discovered 16 days later in Pulborough, 12 miles away.
