The search for the body of Lindsey Kiely (16) was called off this evening due to bad weather conditions but will resume at tomorrow morning.

The girl is presumed to have drowned with a friend at Parteen, Co Clare last Thursday evening.

The body of Victor O'Connor (16), of Ballygrennan Close, Moyross, Limerick, was recovered yesterday by a team of divers at the Ardnacrusha ESB generating station.

The two were sitting their Junior Cert examinations which began on Wednesday.

It is understood the girl was washing her runners and slipped in at an area known as the Forty Foot. The boy is believed to have gone in to try to rescue her.
