The dispute over the dismissed Irish Ferries shop steward, which disrupted sailings on September 21st, is to be heard at the Labour Court today. The man was dismissed over the alleged rape of a female crew member. He was suspended last November and sacked in April.

The man, who is a former shop steward, has denied the charges and accused the company of prejudging the outcome of its own investigation.
