Police in Scotland confirmed today 11-year-old schoolboy Rory Blackhall was murdered.
The boy from Livingston in West Lothian died of asphyxiation, Lothian and Borders Police said at a press conference.

Detective Inspector Tom Martin said Rory's fully-clothed body was found on Sunday afternoon in woodland, covered by a small green tent which was in a poor state of repair.
He disappeared on Thursday morning after his mother dropped him off at a lay-by near his primary school.
Officers had said Rory was "a quiet boy" and that it was out of character for him to go missing.
The acting headteacher at Meldrum Primary, Barbara Gregor, said today that counselling would be offered to pupils and a letter sent home to each parent.
There are also plans to hold a special assembly for Rory, who she described as "a lovely boy" and "the ideal pupil".
