Scotland have reshuffled their back row for Saturday's sudden-death World Cup quarter-final against Australia.
Jason White was promoted to start at blindside flanker after coming on as a replacement in last weekend's 22-20 win over Fiji while Simon Taylor and Cameron Mather have switched places.
Taylor played at openside flanker against Fiji but has moved to the back of the scrum this weekend with Mather changing to the side.
Ross Beattie, who started the last match at blindside, was dropped from the squad off 22 with White taking his place in the starting XV and former British Lions lock Scott Murray coming on to the bench.
Scotland coach Ian McGeechan said White had been called up because of his superior running game.
Assistant coach Jim Telfer said the Scots had opted for a bigger backrow to counter Australia's tactics of using two specialist openside flankers in George Smith and Phil Waugh.
That gives the Wallabies greater speed around the field but reduces their options in the lineout, where the Scots hope to dominate.
There were no other changes to the Scottish side that scraped home against Fiji with McGeechan opting to stick with his new-look backline, playing Chris Paterson at flyhalf and Gregor Townsend at outside centre.
