Millions of British schoolchildren are to receive free fruit each day under a government initiative launched yesterday

Millions of British schoolchildren are to receive free fruit each day under a government initiative launched yesterday.Within three years, the government aims to give every four-to- six-year-old free fruit including apples, bananas, pears and satsumas every day. The scheme will cost around £3.3 million a year.
