A new booklet to help teachers welcome back a child who is undergoing cancer treatment is now available free of charge from the Irish Cancer Society.
School's In is written by staff members of Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, Dublin, and produced in co operation with the Irish Cancer Society. It provides advice for teachers, such as how to treat the child in the classroom and what the emotional impact of the disease is on the family.
