Yekaterinburg - Russian moon-shiners have switched from making fake vodka to baking bogus bread, Mr Sergei Chemezov, agriculture chief for Sverdlovsk region, said yesterday. Although, unlike alcohol, bread carries no taxes, Russia maintains strict standards for bread and wheat, allowing the bootleg bakers to inflate profits by cutting quality corners.
