US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld arrived unannounced in Baghdad today to hold talks with US commanders and assess the next phase of US troop deployments in Iraq.
Mr Rumsfeld arrived from Afghanistan on a cargo plane and was met at Baghdad international airport by army general George Casey, US Commander in Iraq.
