Mr Justice Shanley, in the High Court, reserved judgment in the action taken by the Royal Dublin Society seeking an order preventing an expelled member communicating with staff or entering its premises.
The RDS is seeking the order against Mr James Yates, an artist, of Cill Cais, Old Bawn, Co Dublin. He has counterclaimed for damages, alleging interference with his rights and privileges as a member. He also claims he was slandered and libelled by the society and that he had been harassed and intimidated.
