An incendiary device was found in a Belfast city-centre shop yesterday shortly after an RUC warning that business owners should check for devices daily. Army technical officers discovered the device shortly before 6 p.m. in a North Street store.

Earlier, an RUC spokesman said the warning followed an assessment of a high risk of more attacks, "bearing in mind the recovery of incendiary devices over recent weekends".
