Security forces in Co Armagh found a number of weapons in a house on Tuesday morning

Security forces in Co Armagh found a number of weapons in a house on Tuesday morning. In what was described as a planned operation, the RUC searched the house in the predominantly nationalist Lake Street area of Lurgan.

Police uncovered weapons and ammunition. The weapons included an AK 47 assault rifle, an Armalite rifle, a pumpaction shotgun, a machine pistol, two 9 mm handguns, five magazines and a quantity of ammunition. Two people are still being questioned in connection with the find.
