RUC makes new appointment

Mr Thomas Craig (49) has been appointed an assistant chief constable in the RUC. He has over 30 years' service in the force

Mr Thomas Craig (49) has been appointed an assistant chief constable in the RUC. He has over 30 years' service in the force. He spent five years in the research and planning branch before being moved to operational duties in Belfast.

He was promoted to chief superintendent five years ago and was made deputy to the chief information officer.
