A roadside bomb attack on a US convoy has killed three American soldiers in Iraq, the US military said today.
A statement said the blast last night near the town of Balad, north of Baghdad, also wounded another soldier.
The attack raised to at least 1,985 the number of US soldiers who have died in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein.
