The main Dublin to Wexford road was blocked for more than four hours yesterday afternoon after a tanker overturned on the stretch between Wicklow town and Arklow.
Gardai said the tanker, which was carrying kerosene, skidded and overturned after the driver tried to avoid an oncoming car.
The driver, who had to be cut from his cabin, was not seriously injured.
