Leeds chairman Peter Ridsdale has denied any interest in succeeding Adam Crozier as the chief executive of the Football Association.
The FA are seeking a successor to the Scot who resigned last month after refusing to compromise on his opposition to plans put forward by Premier League chairmen to take more control of the game.
"A number of newspapers have today suggested that I want to succeed Adam Crozier as the FA's chief executive," said Ridsdale in a statement. "That is categorically untrue".
Ridsdale is bidding for re-election at Leeds's annual general meeting on Friday and stated the club, who have slipped to 14th place in the Premiership, is his only concern.
"My whole focus has always been to ensure that Leeds United prosper both on and off the field. That continues to be the case," he said.
