Relatives of postman shot in Dublin last October have offered a €20,000 reward in return for information that leads to a conviction.

Father-of-two Robert Delany (28) was left in a vegetative state after shotgun pellets lodged in his brain. He requires 24-hour medical care.

The Justice for Robert Delany Campaign today launched a website www.innocentvictimsofviolence.ie to highlight the plight of innocent victims of violence in Ireland.

Mr Delany’s father Terry said in a statement that the victims and their families were dependent on their communities for support in dealing with the consequences of violent crime.

“We are also dependent on ordinary people to do the right thing and provide the information needed to successfully prosecute these criminals and thugs, and take them out of circulation.”

He said the website would provide a confidential way for people to provide information about Robert’s attack which could help in the criminal investigation.
