A man convicted of a 1950s murder will know next week if he has won his legal battle to clear his name. Judgment is to be delivered on Wednesday in Belfast in the appeal by Mr Iain Hay Gordon (68), who lives in Glasgow.

Mr Gordon was a 20-yearold airman stationed near the Curran mansion at Whiteabbey, outside Belfast, when Ms Patricia Curran (19) was stabbed to death in 1952.
