WASHINGTON – The US House of Representatives is expected to pass a short-term funding bill tomorrow to avert a government shutdown, a top Republican aide said.

The measure will give time for the Republican-led House next week to give final congressional approval to a Senate-passed Bill to fund the government through to November 18th, the aide said.

Leaders in the Democratic-led Senate reached the bipartisan deal on Monday after the Federal Emergency Management Agency said it could get through the rest of this week, to the end of the fiscal year, without additional funds. – (Reuters)
