NEW DELHI - Indian election officials ordered a repeat vote yesterday in 445 voting stations where balloting in the first phase of general elections on Saturday was marred by alleged rigging and clashes.

A spokesman for the Election Commission said the polling stations were spread across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in the south, Haryana and Rajasthan in the north and Assam in the far east.
