Bogota - Marxist guerrillas blew up three all-terrain vehicles in an ambush that killed at least 17 ultra-right paramilitary gunmen in northern Colombia, military authorities said yesterday. The dynamite attack took place on Sunday near the town of Cordoba, in Bolivar province, according to an army spokesman.
The incident is the latest in a series of confrontations between guerrillas and illegal right-wing paramilitary forces over territorial control in Bolivar.
