Rathmines drugs seizure

The garda National Drugs Unit yesterday seized 3 kg of heroin when it raided a house in Palmerston Villas, Rathmines, Dublin. The haul had an estimated street value of about £450,000, the Garda said. A man was arrested in connection with the seizure and was detained at Terenure Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, by which he may be kept in custody for up to seven days.
