The Donegal man involved in the fatal crash which claimed the life of Garda Gary McLoughlin (24) last month has appeared before Letterkenny District Court.
Martin McDermott (24), Castlegrove, Raphoe, who has been in custody since his release from Letterkenny General Hospital, had to answer two bench warrants for his arrest and a further six charges. None of these relates to the incident involving Garda McLoughlin’s death near Burt.
Mr McDermott was remanded in custody at Carrick-on-Shannon court following his release from hospital on December 23rd in relation to charges he previously failed to appear to answer. Judge Séamus Hughes refused bail and remanded Mr McDermott in custody to Friday.
