Today’s stages of the Donegal International Rally have been called off after a spectator was struck by a car and killed at the event yesterday.

The 18 year-old man died after while watching the event in Ballyarr, Ramelton, Co. Donegal at 3.30pm yesterday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed he was from the Strabane, Co Tyrone. The scene of the incident was preserved pending a Garda technical examination.
