Two men have escaped with cash after an armed raid at a building society in Bray, Co Wicklow.

The raid happened at 11.20am when a man with a sawn-off shotgun went into the premises and threatened staff.

Gardaí say his accomplice waited outside on a motorbike that the two used to speed off after getting a small sum of cash.

The man with the gun was wearing a black motorcycle helmet with a black balaclava underneath, blue jeans and white runners with black strips on the laces. He carried a courier type bag over his shoulder.

The men were last seen on King Edward Road turning left onto Church Road. No shots were fired during the raid, and nobody was injured.
