RACING: Officials at Leopardstown gave today's race meeting the go-ahead following this morning's precautionary inspection.

The meeting, which features the Leopardstown Golf Centre December Festival Hurdle, was under threat after an overnight frost.

Irish Turf Club spokesman Cliff Noone said: "Racing goes ahead. It's a nice, bright morning here and they expect the frost to come out of the ground long before racing starts.

'The ground remains yielding on the hurdles course and yielding to soft on the chase course.'
