Racing:This afternoon's race meeting at Clonmel has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.
Officials held an 8am inspection to supplement yesterday morning's inconclusive check on the state of the ground.
However, overnight rain compounded an already-drenched course and meant the situation had become untenable.
Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: "They needed a dry night for racing to go ahead and just didn't get it.
"The meeting is cancelled, which leaves the door open for it possibly getting rearranged."
