Labour Party leader Mr Pat Rabbitte is to go on the campaign trail with the SDLP in Northern Ireland this weekend.
He will join party leader Mr Mark Durkan, and other SDLP candidates.
"The SDLP has stood unequivocally for the Good Friday Agreement since the day it was signed and has sought to operate the Agreement to the full, always in the interests of the entire community in Northern Ireland," Mr Rabbitte said in a statement.
"I am therefore delighted to assist them in whatever way I can in this important election campaign".

Mr Rabbitte will join Mr Durkan and Mr Sean Farren for canvassing in Ballycastle, Co Antrim tomorrow morning, before travelling on to Carnlough Glengormley, Sprucefield.
