Ted Purdy compiled a flawless final round to win the Byron Nelson Championship in Texas by one shot-last night .

Purdy, who teed off two strokes behind overnight leader Sean O'Hair, missed only one green in regulation on his way to a five-under-par 65 at the Las Colinas TPC at the Four Seasons Resort.

He never surrendered the lead on the back nine, completing the final 27 holes without dropping a shot to finish on 15 under at 265 and earn his first PGA Tour victory.

O'Hair shot a 68 that included a birdie at the last to finish second at 266.

Vijay Singh finished tied for third alongside Bob Tway and Doug Barron, four shots behind.

Singh, who had a hole-in-one at the 17th, narrowly failed to regain the world number one ranking from Tiger Woods, who missed the cut on Friday.
