The first of two free public lectures on addiction and its effects will be held on November 25th at 7.30 p.m

The first of two free public lectures on addiction and its effects will be held on November 25th at 7.30 p.m. in Milltown Park, Ranelagh, Dublin. The lectures are being organised by the Rutland Centre, a residential treatment centre for alcoholism, drug dependency and compulsive gambling.

A lecture on the role of drugs and alcohol in the destruction of human potential will be given by Ms Maura Russell, the director of the centre. A lecture on addiction and the family will be given on December 2nd by counselling psychologist and author, Mr Michael Hardiman.
