A weapons cache was seized during a security operation in Belfast, police disclosed today.

A weapons cache was seized during a security operation in Belfast, police disclosed today.

Officers uncovered guns and ammunition when they searched a property at Lisburn Road in the south of the city.

A police spokeswoman said the building where the arms were hidden was under renovation.

Among the weapons were a rifle, two revolvers, a 9mm pistol and magazine, plus more than 500 rounds of assorted ammunition.
