Police are today hunting for a convicted killer who has gone on the run in Northern Ireland.

Police are today hunting for a convicted killer who has gone on the run in Northern Ireland.

Daniel Martin Peter Hargan (51) failed to return to Maghaberry prison in Co Antrim, after a period of home leave.

He was one of three men involved in the death of Edward Kelly in Bangor in June 2007 and was subsequently convicted of manslaughter.

He was due to be released from prison later this year.
