In the North, the PSNI are investigating an accident in which a policewoman was killed in Desertmartin, Co Derry, yesterday afternoon.
Four other officers are in a critical condition in hospital. Their vehicle was the second in a convoy of five vehicles.
Elsewhere, a woman died and two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on the Hillhead Road, Ballyclare, Co Antrim.
The Northern Ireland Police Ombudsman, Nuala O'Loan, is to investigate an incident on Saturday in which a former police officer died.
Trevor Barr (50) died when he crashed his car into a tree while being pursued by police just outside Ballymoney, Co Antrim, on Saturday.
