PSNI officer badly hurt in Belfast hit-and-run

A police officer received a fractured arm and leg last night when a car ran over him in north Belfast.

A police officer received a fractured arm and leg last night when a car ran over him in north Belfast.

A PSNI spokeswoman said the incident happened when a police patrol attempted to stop a car in Sherringhurst Park at around 7.00 p.m.

However, the car drove at the officer and knocked him over, injuring him.

Three people were later arrested in connection with the incident.
